Biometric smart locks can support a hospitality access plan, but they should be selected only after the property defines the door types, guest journey, staff roles, credential lifecycle, privacy requirements, and emergency procedures. Build a power and support plan
Battery-powered locks require monitoring, charging, and a response before low power becomes a lockout. Usage, wireless activity, video events, temperature, alignment, and motor effort can affect the interval. Assign ownership for inspections and keep the appropriate emergency-power equipment and controlled physical key available.
